We're On Our Own
This is a roleplay from a previous forum of me and Mimi's. We shall continue it here!!! I copied all of our posts and here they are! I shall label each!!
Me: Okay, this is obviously a romance/fantasy. The reason that I'm putting it here is cause I don't give a damn if you curse, and your character can be gay/bi/lesibian or straight, doesn't matter to me.((I'm going to have a gay character myself, if anyone wants to have one as well.)) Its obviously romance, so we'll need some couples.xD I'd prefer if you didn't pair two of your own characters up, thats just not as fun, but you still can.
Anways, plot!
~Back when kings and queens still ruled over the European continent; back when werewolves, vampires and shapeshifters were more than a fairy tale. Back in a time when things went by tradition, and people started to step out of their naturally safe boundaries, started to go against the church and do things that back then could be a death sentence. This is the story of a select group of creatures who want to explore beyond their safe haven homes, want to see what else is out there, whats beyond the city and small forest that they've always been confined in. Each of them has a different reason for starting this trek. Some of the creatures, such as the werewolves, want to find a way to get away from the people who hated them for what they were. Some of them, such as a certain royal's son, have realized something about themselves that others may never forgive and want to escape what they may face if someone finds out, and to hopefully find someone like them. They don't realize that they'll face many challenges on this journey; ranging everywhere from an occasional mountain lion, up to multiple search parties for the young prince. They'll get new members to the group on this trek, some who tried to go on alone, but didn't do well. They may also face a betrayal from one of their own...
Rules!!!
~ Cursing is fine. Just don't do it excessively.
~Violence and romance is obviously fine and enjoyable, just keep it at a reasonable limit.
~ Your character can be any creature, I don't care what it is.
~ Your character could have been of any social class, just not prince.XD
~ No powerplay, please. It annoys everyone.
~ No rudeness or I'll slap you with...a rotten carp.
~ Please use ooc: or (()) when talking out of character.
~ Try to use correct punctuation and grammer where you can, and please try your best with spelling.
~ I don't care how many characters you have.
~ No leaving others in the dust, let us know if you're leaving or will be gone a long amount of time.

Re: We're On Our Own
Nathanial was silent as he pushed the door to his room open the slightest bit. His alert, brillent blue eyes scanned the hallway quickly. He knew his father, the king, was in some meeting that he, Nate, didn't care about. Normally he'd be eavesdropping, but he'd decided that this was the day he was getting away, leavcing his sheltered life behind. He also knew that he would be pretty much dead if anyone realized his true sexuality, but didn't want to have to hide it. He saw no servants or anyone in the halls and grinned slightly as he ran a hand over his light brown hair, smoothing it back some. It had been fairly messy, mainly because no one had come into his room yet that morning. Another reason he was leaving was because he'd recently turned twenty, and his father was starting to talk of it being his time to marry. Nate let out a slight groan as that thought entered his mind. No, don't think of that. Think of whats ahead, whats beyond these walls... he thought, nodding slightly. Nathanial was fairly tall, but also a pretty thin boy, he always had been. He opened his door just enough to slide out and shut it behind him. He looked around cautiously afterwards and, seeing no one, started to walk. He'd gotten down a few corridors and was nearing one of the best ways to get out without being seen, when he suddenly heard footsteps nearby. He quickly ducked behind a nearby statue and watched as a servant walked by.
The servant, a werewolf with the name Inu, had a flat-out irritated look on his face, his brown eyes alone gave enough evidence of that.. He was fed up of being there, he wnated to be free again, to live outside the walls that held him captive. He was a little shorter than Nathanial, but was at least twice as muscular, if not more. His hair was messy and sticking up, and was almost a pure pitch black color, but had several reddish-brown streaks running through it. He was torn from thoughts of living free at a sudden smell. He'd never actually tended to or been around NAthanial, the king's brat, but he'd recoginize the scent of a royal from miles away. He turned to look at the statue. "Get out from back there," he barked, not caring how he was talking to the prince.
Nate hesitatedl, then stepped out, somewhat annoyed. "Who are you to give me ordeers, servant?" he growled, watching Inu's face gain a look of true fury.
Inu was about to snap something at him, but knew what could happen if he did. "Your father, His Majesty, had orders that you be kept in your room until his meeting was over," he said, but sounded disgusted at what he'd said.
Nate began to say something, but stopped himself, curious as to why this servant was speaking in this way to him. "What has caused you to speak in this way, servant?" he asked.
Inu took that as an invite to speak freely and quickly snapped, "Stop calling me servant!" He glared for a moment, then decided to answer the question, "For one, the abuse that we face while being forced against our wills to serve you. For another, the fact that a few years ago I was dragged out of my home and thrown in here to serve this family. I'd prefer the death sentence for what I did." He looked irritated.
"So, your wishing for freedom?" Nate asked, a grin on his face. This could be perfect. I would be stupid to go on alone... he thought as he watched Inu hesitate, then nod in response to the question. "Then I could help you with that. Thats what I am trying to accomplish here. Neither of us would be able to get out alone. Whats your name, sir?" he asked.
Inu looked surprised as he heard of Nathanial's plan, then grinned. "You? You're going to try and escape? This should be interesting. I guess I could come, no risk if it actually succeeds...I'm Inu. A werewolf," he said, adding the last part. He watched a look of shock dawn on Nate's face and had to keep himself from laughing. "Figured you might want to know what your getting yourself into," he said, shrugging. "I obviously already know you name, Prince Nathanial," he added.
Nate frowned. "Don't call me Prince," he muttered. "Let's just get out of here before anyone sees us," he said quickly after Inu had started laughing. Inu stopped and just nodded. Nate started to walk in one direction, but Inu quickly stopped him, turning him in the other direction. "What are you doing? The best way out is that way!" he said.
Inu chuckled slightly. "For a royal, maybe, but I've heard of a different way out, thats in the complete oppisite direction," he said, folding his arms across his chest. "A way that only servants know about," he added. "You can go your way if you want, but I'm going there," he said, then started to walk. Nathanial hesitated a moment, then quickly followed him. Inu smirked slightly, but didn't say anything.
They walked in silence until they were almost at the entrance, then a servant suddenly came walking towards them. Nate saw him first, saw the determined look to get him back to his room, his prison in his eyes. "Uh...Inu? We got company," he said.
Inu turned to look at the servant and cursed, realizing he was one of the head servants. "Crap. Only oone way out of this," he muttered. Just as the servant reached them, Inu suddenly turned into his wolf form, looking at the ground as the black fur covered his body, small patches of reddish-brown on his stomach and head. He looked at the servant with cold eyes, letting out a snarl, his long, sharp canine teeth showing as he lifted his right front paw, his claws sharp, up, hitting the side of the servant's head and knocking him to the ground. Blood now trickled from his head as he used a last breath to yell for help. Inu quickly bit down on the servant's throat, then snapped his neck. Nate had looked away, then back at Inu, whose eyes were portraying a clear message. Get the hell out of here. They quickly ran for the servants' exit, Inu not even bothering to change back to a human as they soon reached the exit and escaped the place that had been a prison to them.
Mimi: A dark haired man in a green, shady outfit stod outside the royal building. He was mostly running around from here to there around the place, just mostly doing some random tricks for the peasants who worked along the area. His hair shimmered a dark blonde, with black streaks throughout. He wore a green and black belted outfit with a slight mask on, to hide his eyes. He was fairly seen as a mesmer as he performed a variety of tricks, not really forcing his crowd out of money, but mostly to cheer them up, "Ello all my wonderful people. You all are so beautiful in every way, hence forth I shall drive a wave of enchantment into your lives." He grinned, sparks flying from the white gloves he wore.
A florist near by looked amazed by the mesmers tricks but suddenly looked away, hearing her father rant on about how the flow of customers appeared to be dwindling now.
"Damn it. Why are all of our customers leaving? Did you do something to scare them off, Maria?" A loud, booming voice called from inside the shop.
She sighed, tucking a strand of her dark, shady red hair back as she trudged inside, "Father! I can't believe you'd think such a thing!" She barked, glaring a bit as she fixed up a bouquet of blue, rare roses.
Her father walked into the front room, looking at his daughter with a gruffed sound, "It's true. Even your own mother left because of you." He growled, slamming a glass he had in his hands down on a table. Obviously he was drunk; like that was new.
She frowned, watching her father then heard the mesmer outside begin to speak again, but louder.
"Now, any one out there prepared for this enchantment?" He smirked, glancing at the floral shop then back at the now growing crowd of guards and peasants; though, it was still fairly small, "Wa, la!" He grinned as a cart of very exotic purple roses and green tiger lillies appeared, enough for the crowd.
Maria's father had been watching with a grim smirk plastered on his face, "Now look dear! Even he has a crowd. And what do I have? A worthless daughter who can't even get a mere person." He grumbled, leaving the room.
Maria frowned, feeling extreamly heartbroken as always, "Like that even helps me! Can't you ever be sweet for once father?" She screamed, throwing her aipron(sp?) down with a growl, fangs obviously shown. He dark, ruby-like eyes showered into the darkness and out of the store as she huffed out, her waist long, shady hair bouncing behind her.
Me: Inu became human again once they were outside, glancing over his shoulder as he and Nate slowed, then finally came to a stop, panting. "That was a close one," Nate muttered. Inu glared at him for a moment, then finally caught his breaht and waited for Nate to catch his. Before he could though, they heard some guards from behind them. They both looked back and saw them running straight for them. Nate cursed loudly as Inu quickly looked around. He spotted Darien and the crowd surrounding him.
"Quick, over here!" Inu said and Nate turned as well. They ran silently for the crowd and once they'd entered it, slowed and made themselves look normal. That was something a lot easier achieved by Inu, who was wearing torn up clothes, compared to Nate's royal clothes. They slowly but steadily made their way to the front of the crowd, hoping to remain unnoticed for the most part. Inu seemed to be looking around fairly nervously, while Nate was watching Darien curiously.
Saneki was silent as she walked in the shadows of a building, staring at the ground. She ignored the people she passed, but she heard something being whispered about her, she turned her head and gave a fierce glare to the woman who'd said it, a look enhanced by her black eyes. A strand of her black hair fell in her face, soon followed by one of the red streaks scattered throughout it. She looked forward again, but didn't bother to push the strands behind her ear, not bothered by them. She heard some more muttering and felt her fists clench involuntarily. Saneki stopped walking and took a deep breath. Calm...relax...you know what happened last time... she thought. Despite that thought, a slight grin appeared on her face, revealing a fang.
Saneki started to walk again in silence, then saw a crowd up ahead. A curious look appeared in her eyes and she started to head to it, but stuck to the shadow of the florist's shop. She heard something from inside and watched Maria as she came outside and looked somewhat curious and started to ffollow her in silence.
Serifina stood in silence away from the crowd, prefering to be alone and not caring what had them so mesmorized. Her green eyes showed pain that she tried to keep hidden as she remembered what had happened to her. All the abuse that she'd taken. She tried to get off her mind off that; tried to get herself to relax. Serifina leaned silently against a wall and let a slight breeze blow through her darkish brown hair, taking a deep breath as she started to relax. I must keep calm. If i break down here on the streets, its all over, she thought.
Mimi: Darien noticed the two men scramble their ways to the front. He grinned lightly, "Glad to see my enchantment brings even the highest of judgement." He smirked, knowing for a fact that Nate had been a royals son. Just by looking at his clothing he could clearly tell. He widely grinned, slight fangs showing but that was it. His shapeshifter form gave him slight appearance of that to a vampires, but his species were not even close to affliliating with such.
He clasped his hands together, grinning with excitement, "Next you shall all be blown away with the whisps of my imagination." He smirked, "Ready?" He grinned, watching the crowd get big eyed as they watched, "One, two, and-" He counted poofing away, nothing left. Though, he was actually now a small mouse, hiding behind the flower carts. No one so far noticed though and had been amazed completely.
Maria could sense something nearby, but figured it had been just other people walking by. She felt shivers up her arms as a slight breeze picked up. Clearly she was angry, lots of pain filled her eyes and her fists clenched up in imense anger. Even slight growls and muffled words could be made audible; mostly into curse words directed towards her father, "He will regret that....all I want is his respect..." She growled heading into a large square of people, looking around confused for a moment, then remembering the mesmer was performing tricks and illusions, "Oh yeah..." She sighed, blowing her hair back off her tangtop and towards her back.
Randu had his hands shoved in his pockets, not watching the crowd or the mesmer. He had never gotten those. He could never find interest in something like that. He sighed, his black hair covering his dark eyes as he walked. He remained silent, passing Serifina as he walked, glancing at her, seeing how sad she looked. He didn't want to stop, but just seeing the pain in her eyes made him think of himself. He sighed quietly, keeping his pace though as he slowly passed her, "She seems so.....cold...." He said to himself quietly, unaudible to anyone nearby.
Me: Nate was watching him curiously, then saw Inu roll his eyes. "There's always some kind trick to this, idiot," he muttered to Nate, earning himself a glare. Inu put on an innocent smile as if he hadn't said a word. He waited until Nate had looked away again, then rolled his eyes once more. Moron, he thought, anxious to get out of there as soon as they could. "Does it really matter even? You saw me change to a wolf back there, and you care about this theatrical crap?" Inu added in a whisper.
"Inu, shut it," Nate said simply, not really caring what he was talking about. He didn't know what about the mesmer that caught his attention, but something had apparently. It could also just be that he'd never really been outside before. He didn't see how nervous Inu was getting, sincec Nate stuck out so easily.
Saneki grinned as she overheard Maria's words and silently, but quickly approached her. "All you want is respect? You think anyone earns that in this Hellhole if they aren't related to a royal?" she whispered in her ear, a smirk on her face. She didn't know why she wanted to annoy this particular girl, but she felt like teasing someone, why not someone who was already ticked off is how she figured it.
Serifina had seen Randu and glanced back at him for a slight moment, then looked ahead again quickly. She seemed curious for some reason about the man she'd just seen, but tried to shake it off as she summoned a little more wind, and watching as several leaves got carried away in its grasp.

Re: We're On Our Own
Mimi: Darien was still hidden in the cart. He was looking around, watching as the group began to slowly move away, showing that they weren't interested anymore, and, that he wasn't one bit at all poofing back. He smirked, seeing as the guards and pesants almost all dispersed, "Finally." He grinned then scurried over towards Nate. He was so interested in him. Mostly because he was a royal, out to see a mesmer like him. Secondly, he just seemed so....intriguing. He scurried hiss way towards him, trying to avoid the other pesants.
Maria growled a bit, turning to look at Saneki, "What would you know?" She growled, looking the girl up and down, noticing she wasn't a royal herself but just another towns folk. She gritted her teeth slightly, watching her slightly as she folded her arms tightly against her chest, staring her down with a glare. She wasn't in a particularly happy mood, and wasn't about to be barked down by some vampire.
Randu noticed as he had looked back, leaves stirling near her. He figured much that she was an elementilist. Only they knew how to contol elements, and by looks, the wind was only near her. He grew curious, not seeing an elementilist before, slowly approaching her as he turned around, "You control air?" He asked quietly, as if not to gain unwanted attantion.
Me: "Come on, Nate. We need to get the hell out of here. We aren't hidden by the crowd," Inu growled under his breath, watching for any guards that may be approaching them. When Nate didn't answer, he let out a slight growl. "You idiot, did you hear me??" he said, a sharp tone to his voice, which caused NAte to turn and look at him.
"Inu, we're fine. There aren't any royal guards here at the moment, we'll be fine for a little longer," Nate said, not seeming at all to understand the circumstances and consequences. He had started to turn around, but had finally struck a nerve as Inu grabbed him and whirled him around to face him eye to eye.
"Listen here. Your the one who wanted to get out of there. The one who actually decided to do it and I went along with the plan. I had to kill the head servant to get us out of there. If I'm seen with you, especially after that, do you think they'll hesitate at all to jump and say I kidnapped the prince?? Do you know what could happen to me for that?!" he growled, then released his grip on Nate and went back to look around, then added in a mutter, "You have no idea how things work out here, Nate, you'll have to learn."
Saneki easily matched her glare. "What do you mean what do I know?" she snarled. "I'm a friggen vampire, idiot. You think life's perfect for me? You think I get any respect whatsoever from anyone here?" she growled, then smirked. "You think you have a terrible life? Have you seen some people around here? True, I don't know you're life, but if its that bad you wouldn't be complaining about getting no respect," she said coldly, then turned to walk off.
Serifina looked back at him, the man she'd felt curious about. "Yes, I can," she said quietly, nodding slightly, then letting a slight breeze blow past his shoulder, pick up some leaves and then turn back, dropping one leaf on his head. Serifina giggled slightly, not sure why she'd done it.
Mimi: When Darien reached the two, he intently listened in on the secret conversation they were saying quietly. He smirked interested, "Interesting indeed." He grinned, his little pink tail swishing silently in the dirt covered paths. He silently scurried behind them, poofing silently into his human form, wrapping his arms around Inu and Nate's shoulders with a cheesy grin, "I don't say......royal and trying to leave?" He smirked in quiet yet audible tone to whoever was around. He was obviouslly blackmailing now.
"Vampire 'eh? You must be just half if you're out here." Maria smirked, not finished with her yet. That vampire started the taunts, and Maria was going to be the one to finish it, she thought towards herself mostly, "Now if you were wanting respect, why, try complaining about it to someone who actually gives a care about you. Nobody gives a dime for me, and all I want is to be acknowledged, to have a bit of respect from my own father. But do you think I get that? No, no, no! He just shoves it back-package and all." She groaned, watching the vampire still. She was slightly interested but turned her interest into utter annoyance about her, "Now...if you think I want respect from anything or anyone else, you've got it so wrong." She growled, "All I want is to finally be looked at by my father as the daughter he used to love thirteen years ago." She growled, fangs clearly showing in anger. She didn't know why she was ranting off to this complete stranger, but it was releasing her anger so she didn't care.
Randu slightly laughed a bit, looking up and plucking the leaf off his head, "Here you go." He said very kindly, handing her the leaf, "That's very interesting you're able to do that....I haven't ever seen anyone who could do this." He said qietly towards her with a soft smile, then watching the breeze blow past more leaves.
Me: Inu growled under his breath, fang clearly showing. "Yeah, and I suggest if you want to keep your limbs you get out of here and forget what you heard us talking about," he threatened, not ready to get sentenced to death without them having made it anywhere, especially due to the mesmer. Nate was silent, but glanced at Darien, clenching his fists. He wasn't ready to go back to that prison that had been his home for so long.
Nate finally said something after a few moments, speaking in a cold tone, "What does it have to do with you? Why do you care?"
Saneki stopped walking, finding herself curious at what Maria was saying. She waited until Maria had stopped speaking, then turned around, unable to hide the curious glint in her eyes as she asked, "The daughter he used to love?" She had no idea why she even cared, she had just gone to this werewolf to be able to taunt someone, to blow off some steam without actually hurting someone. She hesitated a moment, waiting in silence for a response as she walked back towards Maria.
Serifina was a little surprised at what he said. "You actually think its interesting?" she asked, smiling slightly. "No one's actually ever said that too me, most think I'm a freak because of it," she added, looking at the ground as she thought of the way her parents had treated her.
Mimi: Darien let them go, having a bad feeling about Inu, but decided to mess around, "I'm all ears boys." He smirked, wolf ears popping on top of his head. He had that same cheesy grin, "How am I supposed to forget, what I already know may I ask?" He asked with a smirk, tapping his ears. They were real too, he just loved to mess with others like this, "And, my dear royal" he said with a little accent to 'royal', "why so cold?" He asked with a shiver, light snowflakes falling on top of Nate with a snap of his fingers, "All I want is to travel with you two. Join the little braggade(sp?)." He grinned, showing light fangs as his ears poofed away-as if not to arrouse attention.
Maria blinked, seeing her walk back over towards her. She growled silently, "Yeah, 'daughter he used to love'. My father finds me as a pathetic excuss for a life now." She growled, glaring at her, but not able to keep it going. Seeing how curious her eyes seemed. Her eyes lowered a bit, keeping the anger, but becoming saddened, "He finds me as nothing. Blaming me for my mothers death. He says that becuase of my werewolf in me....due to my mother being one....I killed her on a fullmoon. WHICH IS ALL LIES!" She barked out after the sentence before the last, "He killed her out of being the drunkard he is...but he doesn't admit it...." She frowned, glaring at the ground, gritting her teeth sharply against one another.
"Yes, I do. I find it very interesting and awe inspiring." Randu told her with a soft smile, "It seems so talented...so majestic...the way you can control it, that is." He nodded, feeling very curious about her indeed. He only continued lightly smiling, watching the breeze again with a smile. He was always interested in the wind, it's just, he never had gotten out of this village to witness anything other than a simple breeze.
Me: Inu growled at Darien, seeming ready to tear his head off in an instant. Nate brushed the snowflakes off of himself and glared at Darien for a moment, then looked at Inu. "Inu, come on. Your the one saying not to draw attention," he muttered. Inu glanced at him as he stopped growling and tried to calm himself down. Nate looked back at Darien, pausing amoment as he considered what he'd said. "I..I don't see how it could hurt," he said, talking more to Inu than Darien as he shrugged his shoulders.
"Nate, what are you talking about??" Inu growled sharply, looking at him like he was crazy. "We can't trust him!" he said in a loud whisper.
"We don't have another choice. If we don't, he could easily go and tell our plans to my father and the royal guards," Nate said. Inu looked about ready to argue, but couldn't find anything to say, Nate had a good point. Inu sighed, giving in.
"Fine, whatever. Can we get out of here now?" he questioned, seeming anxious again, they were still close to the castle.
Saneki frowned, still looking curious. "Damn drunks..." she muttered. She wasn't aiming it about Maria's father, but drunks in general she'd seen on the streets. The cruel things they did, especially to women. It always made her furious. She didn't know what to say though, except for, "I'm sorry that happened." She sounded sincire(sp?), even though she herself wasn't sure why she said it.
Serifina smiled warmly at him, then looked at the ground. "I've practiced for as long as I can remember," she said quietly. "Its always relaxing to stand out here with a slight breeze, watching and moving the leaves," she said, smiling as she thought about it. She didn't say anything else as she looked at Randu, letting a slight breeze ruffle his hair a little.
Mimi: Darien smirked, "Glad that you finally except my proclamtion." He nodded, smirking, "I would gladly leave this place...." He mumbled, with a grin, removing the mask he still had on, showing soft green eyes with a tint of dark, midnight blue to them. His eyes matched his personality and outsetting; very mysterious; "Now my darlings, let's get out of this wretched town. I know a secret way out.....but first, my dear....you must make haste of those royal clothes of yours." Darien exclaimed, pointing his medium lengthed fingers, still in white gloves into Nate's chest, "That simply won't do out in the parts we venture too...." He smirked, "You need something...more extravagent if not to claim attention." He grinned, showing a small fang.
Maria looked up, anger still visible in her ruby eyes but, slightly clammered back down, "Thanks....but it's alright. I at least let my own misfortune out...." She growled, looking away for a bired moment, then back at her, "So you can show some sort of kindness?" She grimaced, "I thought vampires only knew of death and torture." She smirked, finding it in value to taunt her a bit, and be a tease completely to try and lift her own mood.
Randu chuckled a bit, watching the breeze, "Wow...I never thought I'd meet someone like you in my wildest days. I can't believe I never noticed....an elementilist living in the village." He grinned, smiling widely, "Why don't you travel the world? Growing your power may I ask?" He asked kindly, watching the breeze then at her with a kindled expression of kindness.

Re: We're On Our Own
Me: Inu glared at Darien. "Call me darling one more time and your dead," he muttered, then added, "And what exactly are your plans on where we are going?" He had a somewhat cautious look in his eyes as he watched Darien.
Nate looked curioously into Darien's eyes, then quickly looked away, feeling like an idiot, especially when he saw Inu roll his eyes. He looked down, then moved Darien's hand, now wondering what he'd gotten them into. "More extravagent?" Nate asked curiously, looking at Darien again.
"We don't exactly have anything else for him to wear within the vicinity," Inu muttered as he glanced over his shoulder and all around them, keeping an eye out for guards. HE didn't know why he was feeling so cautious, but he wans't going to let them get caught.
Anger flashed for a moment in Saneki's black eyes, then disappeared as quickly as it appeared as a smirk appeared on her face. "And I thought werewolves had no feeling whatsoever and would as likely kill their friend as look at him," she said, then shrugged. "I guess we were both wrong. Tells a valuble lesson, don't talk about something you know nothing about," she said, folding her arms across her chest, the smirk still on her face as she looked Maria in the eyes.
"I don't show it much arouind others. Just when its neccesary or when I'm alone," Serifina said, shrugging her shoulders. "Why don't I travel the world? I guess cause I never thought about it," she said, frowning slightly. "Well, there was a time I thought about it, but..." Serifina paused, turning her gaze to the ground. She sighed and forced herself to look up as she finished, "But I figured it would just be better to stay here."
Mimi: Darien smirked a cheesy grin again, ignoring what Inu told him not to call him, "Darling, I've travled the world." He grinned, looking at Inu with a toothy grin, "And knowing these feeble minded royals" he began, using his accent towards 'royals' again, "they wouldn't dare cross Snake Ridge without proper escourt....still, knowing them, it would be too dangerous to even get mud on their shoes." He scoffed a laugh, then glanced back towards Nate, smirking.
"Yes, more extravegant indeed....the more you stand out in a commoners outfit, the less the guards would want to man handle you." He grinned, then almost began choking up in laughter at his own words, "And no, I do not mean that in an intimate way." He laughed, "And, my darling," he paused, looking back at Inu, "I can assort him with the clothes neccessary. It's just...what type do you bargain for may I perhaps ask?" He grinned showing a fang again.
Maria raised an eyebrow curiously, "Exactly. But still...your outlook is so...dreary. Why do you say calm words when you clearly show of death?" She smirked, curious of her answer. She was now interested in this girl She knew nothing, not one thing about her, only she was a vampire. But still, a vampire who showed kindness? She just had to know what was up with her attitude.
Randu watched her expressions closely, but didn't say a word after it for a brief moment, "I see. But going out into the world will bring you more prosperity, you know?" He began to say, "You could even find more of your kind.....and learn the ways better." He said with a cooled sigh, leaning his head back against the wall, watching the as the breeze chilled and small specks of rain began to fall silently to the ground, making only pitters and patters, indicating the sound of fresh, light rainfall.
Me: "I told you not to call me darling," Inu growled, his canine teeth easily showing in his fury. Nate stopped him just as he was about to attack Darien. Inu growled a moment longer and said, "Snake Ridge?" He knew that place well enough, been there often enough. Inu didn't answer the question that Darien had asked, just glaring coldly at him as he instead said, "I don't think either of us took that statement in the intimate way. At least, not till you said that." Inu rolled his eyes, then glanced at Nate as he heard him mutter something.
"I took it that way," he had muttered, causing Inu to let out a slight growl. It was clear he had very few nerves left to tread on, and they better tread carefully. Nate blushed slightly and looked at the ground as he felt Inu's cold glare on the back of his head still. After a moment, Inu's glare turned from Nate back to Darien and he felt it safe to look up again.
"Of course my outlook is dreary. But I will show kindness when and where it is needed. To people who need it, or those who have gained trust, which is currently....no one," Saneki said as she looked at Maria. "And my words are calm while I look of death because, despite my want to destroy people who are in my way, I can normally satisfy myself with just the thought of seeing them there, dead. If I must, I'll go into the surrounding forest and kill something there, on the very edge," she said, wondering why Maria seemed curious. Probably the same reason that I'm so damn curious about her, she thought simply.
Serifina looked at him. "Maybe you're right," she muttered. "ITs always been my dream to just....to just know how this power works. To all its extent, beyond what I can figure out from my expirimenting," she said as she looked at the sky for a moment, a slight smile on her face as she seemed to be daydreaming about something, watching the rain.
Mimi: Darien only smirked, letting out a small laugh when he heard Nate's comment. He grinned slightly, "So my darlings" he began, directing attention to the two, "Shall we be on our ways? W ewon't get anywhere dwadling on the minors." He grinned then noticed the rain. He groaned quietly, then snapped his fingers keeping an invisible barrier around himself. The rain stopped hitting him comletely, "Can't get my handsome attire wet now can I? I need to look fresh and primped for the supreame." He scoffed, meaning his little shows he puts on for the commoners.
"Huh...seems like a normal vampire to me...but with a hint of kindness." Maria smirked, laughing silently as she looked at her, "So you've never givin trust out? How come? There are fairly many other vampires out here. I figure you must trust one. Unless you're a loner, looking for someone." She smirked, raising an eyebrow then glancing up, feeling rain smack her in the forehead.
"What all have you learned from expirementing?" He asked quietly, looking at her and noticing her smile. He couldn't help but utter a small one himself. thinking quietly as he looked away, a slight blush forming but not enough to be seen due to his already tanned skin.
Me: Inu scoffed slightly. "You need to look 'fresh and primped'?" he asked, rolling his eyes. "No, what you need to do is stuff it and walk so we can get the hell out of here already. We've wasted enough damn time," he growled. "We should have been on our way a while ago," he added in a mutter, starting to walk. Nate, who'd turned his gaze back to the ground, heard Inu starting to walk off and quickly looked up, glancing at Inu, who was going at a slow pace as he waited for them to follow, then at Darien, hesitating before he started following. If this guy brings any trouble, he's dead, Inu was thinking as he walked towards two girls, not even noticing them.
"No, I haven't. And no, I don't. You think I like other vampires any more than I like people?" Saneki said. She raised a brow curiously and said, "So what if I am a loner? And how many people have you given your trust?" She glanced up as well, but didn't seem at all bothered by the rain as she looked at MAria again.
Serifina looked at Randu again. "I've learned a fair amount. The last thing I figured out was how to channel enough power into the wind to actually hurt someone," she said. "There was a commotion about that. Didn't mean to hurt the guy," she said, rubbing the back of her neck, grinning slightly.
Mimi: Darien looked at Inu very confused and very astonished, "What did you just ask me to do?!" He blurted quietly in a loud whisper, walking behind him, "Stuff it and walk?" He blinked, feeling like he didn't interperet this correctly, "I'm sorry...but I just met you. And, secondly, I wouldn't do that with you..." He began, shivering slightly as his barrier wore off from his astonishment, "Damn.." He mumbled, then continued on, "I don't even know your name. For all the nerve, darling. You can't offer me something like that without me knowing your name." He smirked, poking his back a few times, not caring if he went off at him later for doing that. He noticed the ladies, bowed slightly and kept going with them.
Maria was hesitant, then glanced at Darien, seeing him walk by with two other men. One looking vaugly suspicious, "Um.." She began, watching the men then turning back at Saneki, "None...anymore that is..." She sighed, "I did give my trust out, but then had it returned." She growled, "At least I gave my trust to someone....but...maybe giving it out is as heartbreaking as recieiving it back." She shrugged slightly, sighing as her hair draped over her eyes, sticking to her brow as she pushed it to the side in a slant.
Randu chuckled slightly, "I see. Can you show me it? I promise I won't be alarmed. I just want to see what your powers are capable of producing, that's all." He explained to her, telling the truth. He was fairly interested in her, and he wanted to know more about her powers since she was one of a kind to his eyes.
Me: Inu snarled slightly under his breath. "My name is Inu, his is Nate. Got it? And if you ever turn something I say around like that again, your dead," he growled, still walking, then adding, "And the next time you poke me in the back, I'm breaking your wrist." Inu didn't even glance at the ladies, just walked right past them, his gait showing how mad he was even. Nate glanced at the women, hesitating and then looking at the ground. "Damn mesmer..." Inu muttered under his breath.
"Come on, Inu. He just misunderstood you," Nate said as he walked next to Inu, but recieved a slight glare from him. Nate backed up slightly to where he was walking next to Darien, his head down and his gaze focused intently on the ground.
"You had it returned?" Saneki asked curiously, then glancing at the men. Her eyes suddenly focused on Nate for a moment, then she looked at Maria again. "What happened, then?" she asked her, shifting on her feet as she waited for a response. She pushed a strand of her hair behind her ear, it having been hanging right in front of her eyes.
Serifina hesitated a moment, then smiled and nodded. "Sure," she said as she turned around, seeing a tree nearby and grinning slightly. "I've been able to increase the amount of damage and focus it on a certain point after enough practice," she said, glancing over her shoulder at him, then looking at the tree again. She hesitated a moment, then focused on it, letting a small bit of wind begin to pick up, but only in a small spot in front of her, leaves blowing in a circle as a circle of wind collected. After a minute of the speed of it increasing, a small bit of the wind could even reach Serifina and blow her hair some. She let the wind and air stay like that for a minute, then started to slowly move the small circle of the wind towards the tree, then let it suddenly speed up and hit the tree, leaving a decent-sized hole in the trunk.
Alright, shall we continue? Stupid thing. "Message too big." Whatever.

Re: We're On Our Own
"Inu? Like dog?" Darien smirked, chuckling slightly as his fangs slightly showed, "You know Inu, you don't have to be so cruel to the boy and myself. We're-just more imaginitive than you are." He chuckled slightly, rain pouring on him and giving his hair a slight vampire look to him, though, he clearly wasn't of course. Darien glanced down at Nate, grinning a bit as he slung his arm over Nate's shoulders, "What's wrong boy?" He grinned slightly, following Nate's glance, "You look as if you are trying to burn a hole in the ground....which, may I tell you is impossible if you are human." He chuckled.
"What happened?" Maria echoed slightly, watching the men again with curiousity, "As in, why my father returned my trust? Or, what happened for him to hate my guts? I think I've explained both." She sighed with a slight shiver, rubbing her wet, slippery arms as she did so. She had only been wearing two tangtops and knee-lengthed pants. Which, isn't ever a well choice out in rain, unless you're one with the element. Hence, her not, "Damn rain....it's freezing out here...I doubt my father will let me back in, in this condition anywho...plus, anyways, I rather like it out here." She shrugged, mostly talking to herself at that point. She growled slightly to herself, then turned her attention back towards Saneki, "I'm Maria, by the way..." She said quietly, "I almost had forgotten to introduce myself. We've been rambling on about my and your misfortunes that, I had forgotten to tell you my name." Maria sighed slightly, her breath visible in the cold, freezing rain which had now began to pour even harder, with an over growing rate.
Randu blinked with slight amazement, "Wow...that's completely amazing." He nodded, grinning widely for a moment, "Is there anything else you could do with your powers?" Randu asked quietly, eyes still glued to the hole she had created in the tree's trunk. He was so facinated and amazed by the power and force she used and created such a thing to destroy an amount of matter in a single object. He was very interested indeed. He just ignored the cold of the rain and how much his hair drooped into his vision. He mearly pushed his hair out of his fave, slicking it back enough for his eyes to show better.

Re: We're On Our Own
Inu growled slightly. "Yes, like dog," he muttered. "And yeah, I do. If we don't get the hell out of here and get caught, who do you think will get blamed?" he snarled, but he had a pained look to his face as he looked away from them. I already had to leave them once...now again? I'm free, I could go to them. Go see them...no! Stay focused, he thought bitterly, trying to keep his thoughts away from the one he once loved. The few friends he'd once had. He wanted to run to them, leave his years as a servant behind, but he knew it would just be stupid and pointless. He'd easily get caught and he knew what would happen then. He no longer knew if any of them were still alive, not since that incident so long ago.
Inu's hair was sticking to his face from the pounding rain as he looked over his shoulder, panting. He could still hear the voice he'd left behind. 'Leave me here! I'll be fine! Please go, save yourself...I love you,' was ringing in his ears. He remembered that last hug he'd shared with his one and only love, Matthew. He'd looked forward again and was trying to outrun the voices he now heard, yelling to get him. He was being accused for the murder of the king's daughter, Elizabeth. She'd been the same age as Nathanial, but had a more childish air to her, not as good at getting away with things. She could often be found getting a lecture, but she had been beautiful. Earlier that night, she'd been found in a pool of her own blood, gashes and bites covering her body. Footsteps leading away had started out like a wolf's almost, then turned human-shaped. They had led directly to Inu and Matthew's door, though they'd been together all night. Inu was now that main suspect and was trying desperatly to escape. He heard a loud howl of pain that belonged to Matthew and he felt fury fill his body as he came to a skidding stop and turned around. He snarled and clenched his fists as he entered his wolf form and took off at full speed for the guards hunting for him. When he reached the house, he saw a beaten up and bleeding Matthew being dragged motionless out of it. He snarled and let out a howl as he attacked the guard dragging him, then several others, tearing them apart, before he was finally brought to a stop, knocked unconcious by a cruel and merciless beating brought to him from the guards. He fell to the ground, becoming human once more as he laid next to the barely breathing Matthew. He reached out and ran his fingers over Matthew's cheek. "I love you," he said softly, as his vision blurred and he passed out.
Inu's fists had clenched as he thought of that. He didn't even know if Matthew had survived, what was the point of going back? He didn't know what had brought the memory on, but he couldn't get the image out of his head, no matter how desperatly he tried to.
Nate looked at Darien for a moment, his eyes saddened at first. "I don't want to talk about it," he muttered, shrugging his arm off his shoulder and returning his gaze back to the ground. Nate, as well, was having a flashback of something he hadn't thought about in a while. Nate could remember his sister, Elizabeth, well enough, he just tried to not think of her anymore. Him and Elizabeth had been incrediably close, and Elizabeth, who was actually more well-behaved than him, had an innocent air about her and would always willingly take the blame if Nate almost got caught doing something. Nate could remember them telling each other everything, swearing to keep them secret, something neither of them had ever broken.
Just before Elizabeth disappeared the night she died, her and Nate had been walking and doing a normal session of telling each other their secrets. Elizabeth didn't seem to have much to say and, at first glance, neither did Nate, but she could tell that he was hiding something. "Nate? Whats wrong?" she asked when he hadn't answered something she asked. He'd just shaken his head, not seeming to want to talk about it. "Come on, you can tell me anything," Elizabeth persisted, poking him a few times to try and annoy him.
She finally seemed to strike a nerve as she continued to pester Nate and he finally gave. "Fine! I...I think I might be gay," he muttered, not looking at her, his gaze focused on the ground. Even without looking at her, he knew that Elizabeth had stopped walking and stopped walking a few feet later, glancing back at her, wishing she'd just say something instead of just stand there with that stupid grin on her face.
"Y-you're gay?" she asked in surprise and watched him as he nodded. Elizabeth hesitated, then walked up to him, putting her hand on his shoulder. "Hey, its fine. I don't care who you love," she said, shrugging. "Thats mom and dad," she added in a mutter. They talked about it for a while, and Nate started to gradually relax. After a while, Elizabeth glanced at the sky. "Hey, I gotta get out of here. There's something I have to do," she said, and stopped him before he could ask. "Its nothing. I'll talk to you later, Nathanial, I promise," she said, smiling at him. Nate watched Elizabeth as she ran off and sighed, turning and walking back towards the castle, his hands in his pockets. He'd just been sneaking around for a few hours, then made his way past the throne room and heard voices coming from the room. He hesitated, then hid somewhere as he listened in to hear his father's voice along with one of the royal guards.
"Your Majesty, young Elizabeth has just been found. She was found dead, in a puddle of her own blood, we suspect it was a werewolf and there are people there now to try and apprehend him," the guard said. Nate heard no more. He couldn't believe what was being said, his sister, his best friend, dead? He quickly turned and ran outside, barely managing to dodge the guards as he made his way in the direction Elizabeth had gone. He didn't come to a stop until he came to a sight that still haunted him to that day. His sister, almost unrecognizable to him, torn apart almost. Tears filled Nate's eyes as he shook his head like he couldn't believe it.
Nate fought back tears as he tried to focus on the ground. He was trying his best not to blink, but he still had to, and whenever he did, the image of Elizabeth laying there seemed to be burned on his eyelids.
"My name is Saneki," she said, just nodding slightly. She looked up at the sky, not really feeling how freezing cold it was, but a shiver still went down her back for some reason. "I don't find it that cold," she muttered, then added, "but I do stand out in the rain a lot. And, again, vampire." She gave a slight shurg as she looked at Maria again, then glancing at the guys again. Her eyes focused on Nate and she said, "Why does he look so damn familar to me?" She didn't know if she was talking to herself or Maria, she couldn't really tell. She sighed and shook her head slightly.
Serifina looked at him and smiled slightly. "I...I honestly don't know if there's anything else I could do. Thats as far as I've gotten with my experimenting alone. I don't even know what to try experimenting with now," she admitted, shrugging her shoulders slightly. "My name is Serifina, by the way," she said. She felt weird that they hadn't introduced each other yet, but were standing there, talking about something that Serifina considered normal, since she'd never really talked much to anyone at all.
((Blergh. Don't like Saneki's or SErifina's in that post.))
Re: We're On Our Own
Darien looked from Nate towards Inu, then back, feeling that he was missing something. He sighed, then shook Nate slightly as he kept his arm around his shoulders putting one hand on one of his arms, shaking him slightly, "Hey, hey, Nate. Why do you look so down boy?" Darien asked him quietly, watching his glance. He felt upset slightly as he watched him. He personally thought that he had done something to sadden the both of them. He knew Inu wouldn't talk to him, so he would try to get Nate to spill and talk to him.
Maria watched the men as well, "He does seem fairly familiar." She said quietly, echoing her small statement, echoing a response. She had actually heard her do to her sensitive ears, "Saneki...do you think we possibly do know him?" She asked with a slight shiver, shaking a bit like a dog to ward off the wetness in her hair and on her skin. She sighed, her breath visible along with her fangs, "Well, I'm going to follow them. They seem.....interesting and familiar..." She told Saneki quietly, watching Nate with a certain look to her eyes. Like she was pained by him, but didn't remember why.
"Mine is Randu." Randu told her then looked around, "Maybe you could try to expand the range of that energy of yours." He told her with a nod, "That could always work for a more different range of expirience." He told her with a light smile, brushing his hair past his face as it flowed back down into his eyes.

Re: We're On Our Own
Nate looked at Darien for a moment, the pained expression still in his eyes. "Its nothing. Just something from a long time ago. I don't want to talk about it," he said quietly, then saying, "I'm fine." He forced a smile and looked ahead, wanting to avoid further quesitoning about it. Inu glanced back at them, a little curious as to what was on Nate's mind, but forced himself to look ahead again, his wet hair sticking to his face from the rain. He already had enough on his mind without asking what Nate was thinking about. Nate felt the memory eating away at him, as if he had to tell someone, but he didn't want anyone to know that it was still on his mind, after the years had past even.
"We could know him," Saneki muttered as she watched Nate. "I think I'll follow as well," she added, a slight grin playing on the corners of her mouth. This could turn interesting... she thought. She continued to watch Nate for a moment, still trying to firgure out why he seemed so familar. Saneki pushed some of her hair back as it hung in her curious eyes. There's gotta be some kinda connection with him... she thought, starting to walk towards them silently, lost in her thoughts.
"Its nice to meet you, Randu," Serifina said, smiling at him, kindness in her voice. She then took into consideration what he'd said and thought for a moment. "That might work," she said after a few moments, nodding slightly, yet absentmindedly.

Re: We're On Our Own
Darien moved his arm and hand off of Nate's own arm and shoulders. He nodded slightly, "Alright. I was just wondering. For a second I actually thought I did something wrong." Darien laughed, sighing slightly as he watched his breath form out into the air. He grinned slightly, snapping his fingers slightly but messing up doing so. His gloves were too wet and he couldn't produce the snap he needed to do his tricks. He groaned slightly, looking at his hands as he ruddeb them together, seeing how rough the leather became on his gloves. And because of the roughness, he couldn't produce his power. He sighed, shrugging his shoulders back as he stood straighter, "So which way are we going dar-.....I mean, Inu." Darien had muttered out, stopping himself before he called Inu 'darling'. He hadn't had a death wish, and didn't want Inu to kill him for calling him that.
"Great...I won't be alone now." Maria sighed quietly towards herself, feeling her skin prick with goosebumps. She shivered slightly, keeping her arms tightly protective against her chest as her hands grasped onto her arms, trying to keep them warm. Only, her hands were already wet and freezing as is. She sighed shakilly with the cold air then hurried up to Saneki, following her like a dog follows its master. She quietly watched her for a brief moment then turned her gaze towards the men, feeling a striking familiarance(sp?) with Nate still.
"Nice to meet you as well." Randu smiled slightly, then looked towards an area where he noticed a frew men and women catching up to them. His eye caught site of Nate but he shook that off, "I may as well take a leave now....I have to make it back to my home or I'll be punished..I'm still binded into my wretched home because of my parents." Randu sighed, then looked at Serifina, "It was such an honor to meet such a woman as yourself." He smiled then waved slightly, turning around and slowly walking away from her as he headed towards some town homes.

Re: We're On Our Own
Inu hesitated, looking back at Darien, getting the pained look out of his eyes before he did. He was quiet for a minute then, in a gruff voice, said, "I honestly have no idea. Right now I just want to get out of this city, then make a decision once we're free of its limits." He stared straight ahead as he ran through a list of places they could go to in his head, but he wasn't quite sure of anywhere. Nate looked at Darien for a slight moment, then forced himself to look forward once more. He didn't know why he wanted to keep looking at Darien, but thought he had a fair enough clue, but there was no way in Hell he was going to voice it.
Saneki glanced back at Maria for a moment, a slight smile on her face, but it disappeared as quickly as it had appeared as she looked ahead once more. What is wrong with me? she wondered as she thought about what had crossed her mind. Sure, she'd had that feeling once before, but she'd known the person for a while before that feeling had even started coming up. And here she was, with a person she just met that day, getting the exact feeling that had caused her so much distress when she'd last known it. Just focus on something else....like where you know this guy from. Sounds good enough, she thought, trying to focus as she watched Nate. Neither him nor Inu seemed to have noticed Saneki or Maria.
Serifina hesitated. She glanced at Nate and the others for a slight minute, but didn't seem to care and quickly looked to where Randu was walking away. She wanted to follow him, unsure as to why she was feeling that way, but she'd never met someone who actually was interested in her power. Or anyone who made her feel the way she was feeling at that moment.

Re: We're On Our Own
Darien shrugged slightly, "Fine by me." He said quietly, looking straight ahead. He noticed the girls a while back following them, but didn't give in to care enough that they were following. He figured they were here either because they were an unhappy customer to his show, or that they were here due to the clothing Nate so carelessly wore around. Either way, Darien hoped they wouldn't intrude on them. He sighed, returning his glance from the woman back towards the ground, "It's possible..." He murmured to himself, "What am I talking about....most likely not." He murmured once again quietly to himself, not directing his words to anyone specific except himself as his hair draped back down his forhead.
Maria noticed her smile at her. She qestioned that, but only shrugged it off thinking of it to only be a meaningless smile. She sighed to herself, one of her hands absentmindedly tugging at a strand of his that bounced onto her shoulder. She pushed her red hair off her shoulder, back onto her side, looking up towards Saneki with a very strange yet, curious enough feeling, 'Why do I...feel that way? Especially towards her! She's a vampire for heavens sake! And plus.....she's....' Maria began thinking, trailing her thoughts away as she watched Saneki then shook her head, like she had done before to shake water off, 'You've gone completely crazy girl....now....back to my real testamony(sp?)...Who is that boy?' She thought silently to herself. The only noise that would come out of her was a silent breathing pace, but that was it as she follwed Saneki.
Randu knew that she was watching him. He could feel her look on him. He wanted to turn and just head back over to her, though, his motives were unclear even to him. He bit down on his lower lip, sticking his hands in his pockets as he clenched his hands shut. He groaned quietly as he resisted the urge to turn around. He sighed to himself going towards a nearby, though, cluttered town home area.
He entered one of them quietly. His home looked to be blended in with the rest, but something foul was about around his home. Something saddened. He entered his home quietly, shaking a bit as he slowly snuck towards his room. The raindrops in his hair and clothing pittering the ground with an almost silent trickle. He sighed silently, hoping his own weren't home as he slowly walked across the creaking floorboards that hadn't been redone or fixed since they moved into this home.

Re: We're On Our Own
Inu thought he heard Darien mumble something to himself, but didn't ask about it. He gave a slight glance back, then looked forward again, focusing on their surroundings, who was around them and where they were going. Nate, on the other hand, was curious when he thought he heard Darien say something. "Huh?" he asked, glancing at him for a very slight moment, then quickly returning his glance to the ground. His hair hung in his eyes, rain dripping from the end of each strand of hair, but he ignored it. He didn't even know where his mind was, it seemed to be jumping everywhere, all the way from Darien to Elizabeth to what he was thinking when he left the castle. The last thought didn't last long, as he had multiple answers to it. But the others, he didn't know what to think, or how to get them off his mind.
Inu had also noticed the girls following them and he glanced back, his eyes focusing on them for a slight moment. He hesitated, then decided that, even if they were a threat in some way, they were not from the castle. He turned forward after a moment and started to walk again. Just some girls...they shouldn't be too much trouble if they try anything... he thought.
Alright, Saneki...Focus here...she's just a werewolf you met...nothing more, nothing less...just focus... she thought firmly, forcing herself to keep staring straight ahead, despite how much she wanted to look back at Maria. She kept herself from it and kept her eyes focused on Nate, her mind struggling to stay on the subject as her eyes. She eyed him carefully, taking in every detail about him. His gait at the moment, his clothing, the way he was carrying himself. Well....he's obviously got a lot on his mind. Judging from the slumped shoulders, and the way his gait is showing him...almost as if he's not even paying attention, Saneki thought curiously as her eyes went to the other two men, quickly seeing how focused they were and how quick they seemed from first glance, if they'd be any compitition in a fight. Wait, I don't even know if they're all human. Don't underestimate anyone, you've made that misstake before, she thought bitterly.
Serifina had started to follow him, feeling incrediably curious. She pushed her hair out of her face quickly as she followed him for only a short time, then found herself stopping on the edge of the cluttered houses, looking at some of the people around. She felt relunctant, and took a few steps back as she looked at the people hesiantly. She caught a glimpse of Randu as he walked into a house and then glanced at some people again, several of whom were watching her. Serifina hesitated, then took a deep breath and leaned against a building. Why do I want to follow him? Why do like I feel like I need to? she wondered as she stared up at the clouds, not minding as the rain hit her face.

Re: We're On Our Own
Darien glanced towards Nate, "Hmm? Oh....nothing Nate. I was talking to myself, sorry. Usually a fine man, like myself, needs the pleasure into talking to themself. Hence, giving them a better outstanding on what they're doing." He grinned, his fangs visible clearly as he did so. He slicked his dark blonde hair back, trying to keep in out of his face. From the rain, his hair looked nothing more than a plain dark brown. Not showing fairly any blonde whatsoever really. Daire glanced from Nate towards an unguarded path that most villagers used, "Let's head that way. There are many forked roads there and many ways to get away from this god forsaken kingdom if we travel the right paths." Darien told them both quietly.
Maria kept her eyes glued on the men as well for a brief moment. She noticed the gruff looking one notice them already. She didn't notice the mesmer catch a glimpse of them, but she did in fact catch the slave-looking one. She sighed slightly, watching her breath cool, "Looks like they're all heading out of the village..." She said quietly, enough for Saneki to hear. As she said that her eyes trailed over towards her. Her face began to warm up slightly. Maria thought to be impossible in such cold weather, then caught her feelings before they truly showed. She growled silently at herself, looking away, back towards the ground.
Randu stopped where he was in the house, not hearing a single breath. He didn't even hear the rapping of fingers against the walls or tables. It was strange. He hesitated slightly before taking a few more steps into the living room, "Ma'? Pa'?" He questioned aloud. He hadn't heard anything from when he entered. All he saw was the patterns of blood stained hardwood. His eyes widened slightly. He raised his head, following a grizzly scene of blood stained everywhere. He slowly took a few more steps, his shoes making slight noise as he walked quietly across the blood puddles. He felt pain rise to his chest, feeling like he was going to be fairly sick. He didn't know why. He gulped, slowly making his way towards the room, into which the trail entered. He slowly inched his head into the room, quietly sliding the door slightly, his eyes searching the room with fear brought upon them.
He clenched his hands into shaking fists, gulping as he felt sweat and a rush of anger flowed with sadness sweep into his body. His eyes had widened as he slowly caught a glimpse of what was in this room. He witnessed his own mother and father, dead, lying there on the hardwood. Thier bodies were fairly cut into showing muscle and much blood. He felt sick as he looked into the room.
Randu felt very weak in the knees, feeling his world overturned. Sure, they abused him badly, but to see them dead like this? This was just an unbearable site that Randu never wished to see. He felt his body shake then noticed a moving figure in the room. His eyes adjusted on the figure, seeing that it was a tall, shady man with blood drenched on his clothes, staining them. His mouth dripped of fresh blood as he was bent over, clawing into the dead bodies. He felt extreamly afraid and sick at that moment. He knew what was here. A vampire. He shook, slowly backing up as he remained quiet, stepping lightly onto the blood puddles which formed on the hardwood. He tried his best not to make noise. When he thought he was clear of the living room; while he thought he hadn't made a single noise to alarm te vampire he had accidently stepped onto shards of large pieces of glass, feeling the sharp edge slice into his ankle, "Damn!" He shouted quietly, unable to keep his voice down. He then heard a motion in the other room. Cursing loudly, Randu gained his strength and looked towards the broken window that the vampire had entered into. He gulped, running towards the window, jumping out as he gained gashes on his arms and legs. Some on his chest and stomach as well. He cursed out in pain, feeling lightheaded as he stood up, running towards the front of his home. He hadn't noticed Serifina, he just kept running away from the town homes; wincing by every step he took cursing quietly as he ran.

Re: We're On Our Own
It took Nate a minute to understtand what Darien had said, then he shook his head slightly. "Uh...okay, whatever," he muttered, looking at the ground again, running a hand through his hair once, feeling some of the rain that had drenched his hair drip onto his neck, then slid down his back and he shivered slightly once. "Damn its cold," he muttered under his breath, to himself rather than anyone else. When he heard Darien talking about where to go, Nate glanced in the direction he'd been talking about and hesitated. "Sounds like a good idea to me," he said, glancing at Inu.
Inu followed their glance and hesitated for a moment. The path that they were talking about going down was in the direction where Matthew lived, or had lived, at the very least. He was silent for a moment, but he felt Nate's gaze on his back and he sighed. "Fine, whatever, lets just go," he muttered, giving in as he started to head towards the path. The pained look had returned to his eyes as he roughly smoothed his hair back, as he was starting to get annoyed with it hanging in his face. He quickly looked away from Nate and Darien, trying to keep his eyes hidden, not really wanting them to have any idea how he was feeling.
Saneki glanced back at her, but quickly back at the men and just nodded at first. "Yeah, you're right," she agreed, her voice quiet. She then noticed the way that Inu seemed to be carrying himself at that moment. "What do you think is his problem?" she muttered to MAria. "Something has him either depressed or PO'd," she said. She ran her fingers through her hair a few time, apparently doing it absentmindedly. When Saneki realized it, she stopped and lowered her hand, stuffing her hands into her pockets quickly, keeping her eyes focused intently forward again with trouble.
Serifina had noticed him as she looked forward again and looked surprised. As he ran closer, she could see some of the cuts on his clothing and looked even more shocked. "Randu?? Whats going on?" she called as he ran past her, then she quickly took off after him, ignoring her hair as it got in her face, just using some wind to blow it back whenever it did.

Re: We're On Our Own
Darien sighed slightly, his breath visible. He was glad he had longer sleeved clothing on, or he would be dreading this very much. He looked towards Inu, seeing his form, "What's up d-Inu?" Dairen asked quietly as he got himself to pace up besides him. He had also stopped himself from calling Inu 'darling' again as well. But it was sticking to his touge. He just wanted to call him darling for the heck of it. And because he felt strangely around Inu as well as Nate. He just kept telling himself overly to shrug it off, which, he had done.
"Most likely both of which you used...." Maria said quietly, watching the men but her gaze always turning towards Saneki. Each time it had she'd feel even more warm in her cheeks than the last. She growled silently to herself, quiet enough to not have alarmed Saneki she hoped. She forced her eyes back towards the exit of the village, "Should we follow? I am for one, going to keep up my follow. You, Saneki?" She asked in a quiet enough tone, her red eyes trailing from her towards the exit of the village.
Randu hadn't heard Serifina, or, if he did, he surely wasn't turning to speak. He just kept up his pace, running even more until he reached an area full of lush trees. It was usually used as the villages orchard, using the fruits to keep the king and his children eating freshly. He hurried up into the area, stopping at one of the trees. He slammed his sweat drenched forehead onto the hard, rough bark, scratching up his forehead as he did so. He just brought his bloodstained fist towards the tree, pounding it heavilly as he caused more cuts to appear. He cursed silently to himself, keeping his eyes tightly shut as he cursed even more.
